SAFARI CLUB INTERNATIONAL
KANSAS CITY CHAPTER OF SCI
KANSAS CITY CHAPTER FOUNDATION
Safari Club International (SCI) is a
not-for-profit organization of hunters whose primary missions are to protect the freedom to hunt and to promote wildlife conservation. SCI's 50,000 members and 180 chapters in the US and around the world are passionate about hunting and about wildlife conservation. The hunter-members of SCI support legal and ethical hunting based on the concepts of
science-based sustainable use.
The Kansas City Chapter of SCI is active in local conservation, hunting and educational projects within Kansas and Missouri. In addition to hosting regular gatherings of members, we host an annual Hunters' Expo bringing outfitters from around the world to Kansas City so members and the general public can learn more about hunting opportunities. Over 70% of proceeds from the Expo remain in Kansas and Missouri to be used for local projects as determined by our members.
The Kansas City Chapter Foundation hosts exciting conservation and outdoor activities for young girls and boys including our annual Youth and Wildlife Conservation Experience (YWCE). This free event coincides with the Hunters Expo each year. Youth can hear from experts in the field of conservation and participate in hands-on activities. There are drawings and generous handouts of outdoor gear as well as contest prizes. Lunch is also provided!
